Fun in the Fall

So I have been acused of not updating my blog enough and I have to admit that I have been awful lazy about it! I have been awful lazy about everything lately!! For those of you that don't know yet... Wade and I are expecting number two!!! We are so excited and God has been so good to me because this pregnancy has been so diffirent already. No migrane headaches!!! Thank you Jesus!!
We took yellow cookies on a pink plate and blue frosting around to all our families and surprised them one night. I made a pink shirt for Sally to wear that said "Big Sis" on it. She was so cute. She thought all the fuss was about the cookies that she called "cake cake". We will have to work on the concept a little more! But we have a long time so I'm sure she will get it soon enough.

Halloween was so much fun this year! Last year Sally was scared of all the costums but this year we were totally into it.
This is my dad, Papa, with my baby sisters little one, Graham.

Reagan was just a little halloween princess. She was being a daddy's girl!

Carter and Ben, a little boy in my Awana's class.

Sally was a little lady bug and she loved to wear her sunglasses which totally made the outfit!

Bradley was a punk rocker! Such a big boy!

Isn't this the cutest little lion you have ever seen!!

Sally wanted to be just like the big kids when we went around the neighborhood. (long story, but those pics got earased!!) She wouldn't let anyone carry her or let me help her carry her candy bag. Papa showed up at the end and she decided it was ok for him to carry her! crazy girl!

These are pics from a pumpkin patch in Norman. We had a ton of fun playing on the hay bells, sliding, picking pumpkins, and doing a hay ride. I love the fall and all the fun pictures you can take.

So I am getting very acquainted with Pau France. This was my third day to just walk around by myself and do what ever I felt like doing at that moment. Kinda a cool notion. Nothing hang on me to get done (besides go buy those cute jeans i tried on earlier), no dishes in the sink, no laundry piling up on the floor, not even any diapers to change, although I would gladly do that about now! The slow pace of France has been a welcomed and nice change. I love to just sit and watch as the people stroll by and talk to each other in a language I would love to learn. The food here is marvelous and dangerous at the same time. Almost every time Wade and I go to dinner we end up getting something other than we thought. Like last night I ordered fried prawns. In the US of A that would be breaded and dropped in a lot of oil and served up with a nice dipping sauce. In France... little shrimp with eyes, legs and shell served in the frying pan not battered just cooked! Still good, just different!! This was our favorite meal so far. Wade ordered the steak medium well, which came out medium but was still good.
I ordered the chicken kabob that was served over rice. Bon appetite! So good! For the first time since Wade and I have been together, almost 13 years!!!, I finished my meal first! His was so chewy he almost needed me to help him move his jaw. Still good though!? We had a wonderful dinner and even better conversation.

This is our first pic together in France. We are standing in the down stairs lobby of our hotel.
What a cool sight to see. As we were walking around I just looked down this side street and saw the church off in the distance and had to take a picture. All you photographers would love it!! Even with my lack of picture taking skill all the shots I have gotten have been great. Pretty easy when the scenery is so beautiful!

This is another church we found just walking around. Just as gorgeous on the inside! Makes me think of my professor in college who taught me architecture. It is so cool to actually see the things I learned about in a book. Cant wait for my parents to go to Jerusalem and see the land that our Savior walked on! What a ride that will be!!!

Wade sitting outside at a pizzeria we ate at the second night we were in town. I love to eat here because you get to eat outside. The weather is amazing and there is so much more room outside than in the little buildings. They set up tables and chairs several times a day. They set them up when they open. Then take them down when they break for a two hour lunch and then set them back up for dinner.

Pau France

So we finally arrived in Pau France! I know for sure now that God did not make me a traveler! (If I had forgotten before) The plane ride was awful and I felt like kissing the ground when we landed. In fact I almost did as I was puking when we got out of the plane!!
But we are here now and I am feeling much better! To my relief! I have prayed that God would make this an amazing trip of a lifetime. And so far it has been.
The French people here in Pau have been very nice and helpful. Today was a bit of a slow day around here because it is Sunday and most everything is closed or has shorter hours. So we walked around and just did some site-seeing. Which was amazing and fun to do with my best friend in this 70* weather.
We miss our Sally very much but would not have made that flight or today very well with her here! Not to mention the two hour breakfast, lunch, and dinners! We got to see her on the web-cam and that was great! We love you baby and can't wait to see you but we know you are having fun with family! What a great family we have too! love you all very much!!!!
This is our Hotel. It looks much cooler from the outside than inside our room. The inside is very plain and nothing to write home about. There is no a/c so we just open the window. The weather is great so we really don't need an a/c. Though I am just waiting for those darn pigeons to fly into our room! On our first full day here in Pau we went on a tour of the castle that King Henry IV lived in. It was built in the 14th century and this was a tapestry that hung on the wall. They were on almost every wall and covered the length of the walls. They were really amazing to look at and all the detail that went into them!

This was the royal bed chamber. The tour was in French so we really didn't get all the cool little things about each room. We just got a paper explaining the generel ideas.

The building on the right side of this picture is a church. It is Sunday today so they were having mass. We got woken up by the church bells ringing for several minutes. What an awesome way to wake up on Sunday morning! We went inside after mass and marveled at the history! I love it! Wish I would have brushed up on my architecture before coming!

This is just a look at a street you walk down. On one side is these tall buildings and on the other is a pan0ramic view of the Pyrenees Mountain Range. We couldn't see it today because it was foggy. Wade is dying for me to see it! So hopefully we get to tomorrow.

This is a picture looking over the balcony I was just standing at. One of the beautiful things about Pau is the vegetation. Most of it is centuries old because the kings of the past imported plants from afar. Like the palm trees and roses bushes!

This is a look at the castle from inside the courtyard. They have done a lot of restoration to the building so it looks very clean and nice compared with some of the buildings on the street. Very impressive!

Another look over the balcony.
